The 5 Times

For more than four years as a Questing Beast publication, The 5 Times has been recognised as the UK's premiere SF fanzine. In addition to news, views and reviews, each issue is packed with exclusive interviews with prominent figures from the world of science and science fiction, and also provided a worldwide forum for the discussion of related topics.

The 5 Times reflects the importance of fiction in modelling possible futures and establishing concepts in the mass consciousness through the media of film, television, writing and all other formats.

The 5 Times highlights the breakthrough technology and fringe science that will take the human (space) race to the stars, recognising at all times that of all the necessary tools to achieve this goal, the human spirit is the most important.

The number 5 has a resonance on many levels. In the ancient system of numerology, 5 represents the human - where 6 is the devil and 7 is god. In the philosophy of high magic it is also the number of elements brought together in the human form - earth, air, fire, water and spirit. The 5 physical senses of sight, sound, smell, touch and taste. Fingers and toes and The 5 Times is published 5 times per subscription year!
