CAST BIOS
Joe Calarco (Ross)
Joe,
a recent graduate of Western Michigan University, is making his film
debut in JEFF FARNSWORTH. Since moving to Chicago in 2001 he has
appeared in BLOOD WEDDING with the Hypocrites and GATOR PAWS. He
recently won an Irene Ryan Award, and was one of sixteen national finalists
competing in Washington DC.
Rich Komenich (Big Kenny)
Rich
Komenich attended Ball State University, where he graduated with a bachelor's
degree in theatre, radio and television. Komenich film credits include
KWIK STOP, featured at last year's Los Angeles and
Chicago International Film Festivals, DESIGN, selected for the 2002
Sundance Film Festival, HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER, PART 2, DEATH
AND TAXIS, WHITE BOYS, NO TOMORROW, TOO MUCH FLESH, FORGIVE ME FATHER, TWO
WRONGS MAKE A RIGHT, and STRICKEN. Theatrically he has worked with Steppenwolf,
Phoenix, Boarshead, City Lit, Blueprint, Company Players, Indianapolis
Shakespeare Festival, Indiana Repertory, and Carmichael Repertory.
Komenich's television credits include NBC's ER, and CBS's
TURKS, EARLY EDITION, and WALKER.
Dan Flannery (Dad)
A veteran
Chicago theatre actor, Dan Flannery recently appeared in
Steppenwolf’s production of William Saroyan's THE TIME OF
YOUR LIFE. Film credits include David Lynch’s THE STRAIGHT STORY
and the recently completed CBS Movie of the Week THE PRESIDENT’S
MAN. Dan has appeared in numerous TV series including ER, THE UNTOUCHABLES,
CHICAGO STORY and CRIME STORY.
Mia Manolis (Megan)
JEFF FARNSWORTH
marks Mia’s film debut. At the young age of 7, Mia Manolis
has appeared in commercials, print ads and voice-overs. A native of
Chicago, Mia most recently appeared as Susan in MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET
at the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts.
John Sierros (Mickey)
For many
years a Chicago-based actor, John’s recent film credits include
roles in Sam Mendes’s ROAD TO PERDITION and Project Greenlight’s
STOLEN SUMMER. He has featured in the Steppenwolf Theatre’s
MOTHER COURAGE, THE WEIR and TIME TO BURN. He recently moved to Los
Angeles to pursue a film and television career.
Danny McCarthy (Peanut)
Danny is a company member of the Roadworks
Theater. He has acted in plays with the Steppenwolf, and the
Famous Door, and has performed twice at the Edinburgh Festival
in Scotland. Television credits include EARLY EDITION and
WHAT ABOUT JOAN.
