The
Old Lamb Hotel (formerly Coaching Inn) dates back to 1487 and is one of
the oldest buildings in Theale.Constructed of old brick beneath a tatched
roof, the rooms in the main Cottage takes one back in time with their beamed
walls and ceilings. The restaurant in particular enjoys a large fireplace
bearing the Royal Coat of Arms of Henry VII, which provides comfort and
warmth, together with the informality which our guests appreciate. The
Restaurant provides good home cooked food, and if a full meal is not required
then attractive bar meals are always available. Our guests can relax and
enjoy a pre-dinner drink in our small Lounge bar or spend the evening in
the convivial atmosphere of this delightful room.

In
the past, the Inn had the patronage of many famous, including highwayman
Dick Turpin, . Presently, the Hotel caters for the business people,
tourists and casual travellers. The Old Lamb is renowned for its friendly
and welcoming atmosphere.
There are Two Executive Rooms in the main Hotel, all fully en suite and
equiped with trouser presses, hairdryers, satellite TV, direct dial telephones
and tea/coffee making facilities.

Nineteen rooms are located in the Cottage annexe which is immediately adjacent
to the Main Hotel, Two of which are Executive Single. The remainder are
all fully en suite with satellite TV, direct dial telephones and tea/coffee
making facilities. Ample parking is available within the grounds.
Your custom is always appreciated at the Old Lamb, where you can always
be sure of a warm welcome.
