" lymphocyte is shown. In view of the clinical history, infectious mononucleosis
has to be considered and appropriate serological tests performed. In
the absence of a neutrophil left shift a diagnosis of infectious mononucleosis
is questionable. Two bilobed neutrophils are shown here.
